A Little About Me

I am pleased to have been a part of the Oxford Central School teaching community for the past four years. Passionate about working with students who have learning differences, I believe that reading is the key to our educational and life experiences. Trained in both Orton Gillingham and Project Read reading programs, I use multi-sensory techniques to assist in mastery of reading skills.

I come to OCS with a background which places strong value on education. Holding degrees in Recreation/Program Planning, Business Administration, Business Management, Elementary Education and Special Education, I am continuing my educational pursuits working towards a Master’s degree in Special Education at Centenary College.

Before coming to OCS, I worked for IBM, as administrative team lead in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Upon entering the education field, I have taught resource room language arts and math in both Long Valley and Mount Olive. In addition, I continue coaching/teaching gymnastics at a private gym in Flanders.

For the past 23 years I have lived in Mt. Olive Twp. raising my family of six children. My hobbies include sports, especially New York Yankee baseball and watching college lacrosse. I enjoy crafts and travel. I have a love for our state of New Jersey, especially the Long Beach Island area.

This year I look forward to working with our 7th and 8th grade students as advisor. I also am anticipating an exciting year co-coordinating the OCS yearbook for the fourth year.
