Language Arts Language Arts class consists of the following topics:

We will read 4 - 5 stories in our Scott Foresman Reading Series, then read a novel from one of our favorite authors. Technology will be integrated into all Language Arts Lessons. Each week you will read one story from our Reading Anthology. The stories are grouped according to different themes. You can do an online activity for extra credit. Click on the title of the story for the week to see the activity.

Koya's Cousin Del Our Writing activities will be related to each unit of study. All writing will be completed using the steps of the Writing Process. The 6+1 Traits of Writing will be implemented with a different topic taught each month The students will always complete their first drafts on yellow paper. We will either use the laptops to create a typed final copy or handwrite a final copy, depending on the activity. These will be displayed in the classroom, then sent home for you to enjoy.
