Operation Open Arms
American Recreational Military Services (A.R.M.S.) is a non-profit organization that honors our Armed Services serving overseas.  Our goal is to provide comfort packages to all the branches of the military to show our support for these brave men and women.  We would like to make life more comfortable during their time overseas and send them a big “THANK YOU” for their sacrifices.
MOST NEEDED ITEMS ARE:
  • Granola/Cereal Bars
  • Sugar Free Items
  • Hard Candy
  • Batteries (any size)
  • Tissues
  • Baby Powder
  • Foot Powder
  • Small powered drink mixes (to add to water bottles)
  • Socks (white or green)
  • Bug Spray/Wipes
  • Chap Stick
  • Q-Tips (sm. packs)
  • Razors
  • Eye moisture drops
  • Cookies
  • Microwave Foods
  • Popcorn
  • Coffee packets, tea bags
  • Gum/Breath Mints
  • Protein Bars 
  • Mouthwash
  • Medical Items (Aspirin, Cough/Allergy, Vitamins)
  • Cereal (sm. boxes)
  • Snack Foods     (Cookies, Nuts, Chips, etc)
  • Shaving Cream
  • Wipes
  • Toilet Paper
  • Feminine Products

All items should be medium or small in size.  No pump type bottles.

The food is terrible and they serve the same thing over and over again so they really like a variety of things. Anything that is microwavable is great. They have a small portable stovetop so they can boil water or heat up simple things. Anything that is single serve is great too. (Like mac & cheese or spaghetti os). The food that they do get is not made in the United States so it really does not taste the same. If it is something you like, chances they will too. The great thing is that they share (and trade) a lot so nothing goes to waste. Don’t send chocolate or things that melt the desert can still get really hot at this time of year.

Any thing that is intended to be for the holidays should be sent at least 6 weeks in advance.

Letters, notes, pictures or anything that helps them remember home is extra special. They don’t have much down time but when they do, there really is nothing to do.
