Unsung hero

Charlotte Meyer recognized for quiet leadership and commitment to school community

Oxford, NJ – Oxford Central School announced that eighth grader Charlotte Meyer has been selected as a 2026 Warren County Unsung Hero by the New Jersey School Boards Association, an honor recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional kindness, leadership, and dedication to improving their school communities.

Charlotte’s impact at Oxford Central School extends across academics, athletics, and the arts. As a member of the school’s archery team, she practiced diligently with her grandfather and emerged as one of the team’s top scores, helping the school qualify for national competition. She was named most valuable player of the school play while mentoring younger students on stage, and in the classroom she is known for patiently assisting classmates who need extra support.
